Dear Insomniac Games,

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to check out my website. I recently applied for a QA position at your North Carolina studio and wanted to reiterate how interested I am in becoming a part of your team.

I have been working toward a career in game development for many years now, successfully completing two game related curriculums from colleges in the area and was privileged enough to get two consecutive art internships with a local game developer. Additionally, I have been working on several personal game development projects where we attempt to replicate the game development process as best we can, from concept/design to testing. I am very involved in the local game dev community and have participated in the Triangle Game Jam, Global Game Jam, IGDA events, and have attended both Insomniac keynote addresses at both the Carolina Games Summit and the recent Triangle Game Conference.

As any of my supervisors, instructors and prior classmates will surely tell you, I am a very motivated individual with a keen attention to detail that is no stranger to hard work. I believe that my natural curiosity, love of emergent gameplay, and prior training as a game artist are attributes which should lend themselves nicely to a QA tester's toolbox.

It is my understanding that starting with a QA position is one of the best ways to get a foot in the door of the game industry, and I am very eager to get started! I look forward to an opportunity to speak with you regarding this position.

Thank you again for your time.

Sincerely,

Wes Swain
